Stage 2 Studios near Seattle, Washington designs science-themed apps and games for the general public and educators. Our original game projects are playable on all major game platforms. Our clients and partners include the US Department of Education, major museums and a NASA-affiliated research organization. We’re small but have found great success due to our passion for using innovative technology to create science-based games. Stage 2 is currently pioneering VR and AR solutions for mobile, console and PC. Our sister company in Denver, Colorado specializes in EMMY-award winning promotional videos for nonprofit organizations like the Wild Animal Sanctuary, and from time to time we collaborate on mixed-media projects.
Stage 2 is looking for a full-time C# programmer experienced with the Unity game engine to help lead the charge on upcoming video game projects and to assist with our ongoing contract work. At times you’ll work with our senior Unity programmer on more complex projects while at other times you will take the lead on developing original apps and games. You can work off-site most days, but you’ll always need to be a good communicator, disciplined and ready to assist other members of our team.
Potential team members must share our passion for science and education. In addition, you must be prepared to take on a variety of responsibilities as needs arise. Project management experience is a plus along with a willingness to learn and take on other duties including marketing and all facets of app and game development.
Required: Unity C# Programming including proven experience releasing at least one game for mobile, console and/or desktop. We’re looking for someone who not only has the core skill of game programming but also has a good grasp of all elements of Unity game development.
Preferred: Blender 3D familiarity including rigging and animation. Web development knowledge (HTML5, PHP).
60-90 Day Trial Period (part time, $40/hr)
